News

Ending her illustrious career in style, Diamond’s daughter Simaril went
over the $1 Million mark in career earnings when she took the
$80,000 What A Summer Stakes at Laurel Park on January 12, 2008.
She retires with $1,032,973 in career earnings. Now moving on to
broodmare duties, the seven-year-old Simaril (Diamond-Kattebuck, by Spend a Buck) is the fifth Maryland-bred filly or mare to reach $1M and the 17th Maryland-bred to do so.

November 11 was a good day for Diamond at Philadelphia Park.
Whole Lotta Bling (Diamond-Mama Mucci, by Regal Classic) broke
his maiden in the first event on the card. The Real McRoy (Diamond-
Wavering Wandy, by Wavering Monarch) prevailed in the seventh
race, a $37K starter allowance, while increasing his ‘07 earnings to
$61,282. Lucndaskywitdimnds (Diamond-Lovesgotaholdonyou, by
Malinowski) followed with a tally in a $48K allowance, the eighth race
on the card. The filly’s 2007 earnings now stand at $88,100.
