SEVEN RACES, SEVEN WINS SINCE ‘07 FOR GOOD NIGHT SHIRT

Two-time steeplechase champion Good Night Shirt started a winning
streak in November of 2007 and hasn’t looked back since. On March 28,
the son of Concern-Hot Story, by Two Punch drew away in the last
stages of the $75,000 Carolina First Carolina Cup to win the Grade II
event by 2 & 1/4 lengths. It was the 8-year-old’s first start of the year
and the tally, worth $45,000, pushed his lifetime earnings to $978,493.
Good Night Shirt now ranks second behind McDynamo on the all-time
earnings list of steeplechase performers.

GOOD NIGHT SHIRT, NSA LEADING HORSE OF 2008

Good Night Shirt, the Maryland-bred son of Concern-Hot Story, by Two
Punch, took top honors for 2008 from the National Steeplechase
Association. It’s the second consecutive year for Good Night Shirt, who
is also the leading candidate for the 2008 Eclipse Award, which he also
earned in 2007. The gelding won all five of his starts in 2008, all of which
were Grade One events. While earning $485,520 for the year, Good Night
Shirt broke the single season earnings record, which he set in 2007 with
$314,163. Also taking NSA annual honors in their respective categories
were Good Night Shirt’s owner Harold “Sunny” Via and trainer Jack Fisher.
Congratulations to Good Night Shirt and crew!
